2 Week Hip Opening Progression Series

Join me for 2 Saturdays in a row of hip opening!  Because the hips are such a deep, complex area of the body we will be breaking the full workshop up into two different days so we can also dive deeper into the poses and work into a physical progression!

 

Saturday Week 1:

10am-12pm

  •  briefly refreshing our understanding of the physical region
  • learning principles offered through the yoga practices that can allow us to create balance and alignment in the hips
  • working into basic to intermediate hip opening poses individually and with partners or groups

 Saturday Week 2:

10am-12pm

*attendance at first workshop is highly recommended as this is a progressive advancement*

  • using the knowledge gained in week 1's workshop, we will revisit the basic to intermediate hip openers as a warm up and physical refresher
  • begin working more deeply into the hips via deeper and more advanced hip opening yoga postures (modifications will always be available for all ranges of flexibility)
  • props for both supporting and deepening hip opening postures
  • learning more partner poses and hands-on adjustments to guide the body into the poses with more stability and freedom
