Hip Opening + Alignment Workshop

This 2 hour workshop is all about studying, exploring and opening the ever-complicated hip region of the body.

Similar to the shoulder workshop, we'll be talking about the hips and how to better understand them so that when we take on hip stretches, we better know what we're doing, how to do them more effectively, and walk away with a body awareness we can apply on a yoga mat, climbing wall or just about anywhere else.

Beyond that you can expect to learn about:

  • Alignment & Common Misalignment

  • Hip Mobility

  • Muscular Imbalances

  • How the hips related to other areas of the body

  • Understanding our hips in action (how we move in our daily lives, in yoga, climbing, and training)

Off the Wall Beta: Warming Up With Yoga, Mobility & Strength

An intentional warm-up can increase performance and prevent injury.  In this unique workshop we’ll learn off-the-wall warm up beta! You’ll learn about the things to consider when warming up for climbing and pick up some practical tools to get the body prepped for climbing using asana from the yoga practice along with mobility and engagement techniques- all inspired by and connected to actual climbing movement. You get to save your skin and keep your grip while getting your brain and body synced up to make your climbing sessions more efficient- all before even touching your first start holds. 

The objective is:

  • for everyone to leave with a better understanding of how to connect to the body for climbing before climbing

  • to feel confident in warming up for at least 20 minutes per session as often as possible

  • feel more physically efficient and as a result get more out of the climbing sesh

  • become aware of how to connect the different modality techniques to climbing

  • feel better and healthier

  • GET TO SENDING

These tools are useful both indoors and out at the crag!

No experience required

All levels of yoga, climbing and physical fitness welcome

Physical injuries & limitations are welcome to come learn-
though ability to participate physically will vary

Meditation Workshop

Sit. Breathe. Be.


This 1 hour workshop is an introduction into the practice of meditation. We will discuss the intention behind the practice, as well as benefits of the practice, common challenges and different practical techniques. After diving into the knowledge, we will practice light breath work and yoga to prepare us for meditation. There will be space held for discussion and questions that arise from our experiences from the meditation.

Though meditation is an introspective experience intended to guide you inward, you are invited to bring a journal to jot down any highlights from the workshop or from your meditation that you may want to remember. Please wear comfortable clothing and if possible, on a more empty stomach.


No meditation experience is required. All levels of practice are welcome.

SHOULDER OPENING + ALIGNMENT HEADS NORTH! 

From LA to the Bay, rehabilitation for all the climbers (and non-climbers) at each and every Touchstone gym North of Southern California. 

I'll be road-tripping to 7 of the 8 gyms from Fresno to Oakland over the course of one week to teach and play!  The exact dates and times for each gym location workshop TBA very soon so you can plan accordingly.  I'm so excited to finally bring this super fun, super educational, and seriously therapeutic workshop to more of the Touchstone family after 2 years of seeing it bloom at the Southern California gyms!
